I wandered all around Kevin’s campus while he took his math placement test this evening. It’s huge — and beautiful. I am so excited for him! This is a photo of his dorm quad. Complete with fireflies!

Well, now. My life is complete! As I was driving around the lake in the country on my way back to the city, look what I saw! A magnificent Bald Eagle — just about forty feet away from me. I, of course, pulled over to the side of the road to watch him as he swooped down to grab a fish out of the lake and carry it into a thicket of trees — perhaps to his nest. Last year was the first year a pair of these beautiful birds chose this area to raise their young.
